Biology, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
The bachelor's programme in biology at the University of Bayreuth provides a basic scientific education and a broad introduction to the biological sciences, including biotechnology/gene technology and ecology. The course is divided into four major parts: general scientific basics, biological basics, specialisation, and interdisciplinary skills.
Studying in Bayreuth was very diverse and gave me insights into a wide range of disciplines. In particular, I took away a lot from the internships. I would always prefer to study at a "smaller" university like Bayreuth because the supervision and organization of the studies is easier and better with fewer students. In the end, this is more helpful than a theoretically larger selection of options at large universities.
