Environmental & Resource Technology, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
One of the most pressing global challenges is the protection of global ecosystems while at the same time ensuring an adequate supply of raw materials and energy for a growing world population. In order to meet these challenges, solutions that are environmentally sound and at the same time economically and socially viable must be found as a matter of urgency. This requires technical expertise as well as the integration of knowledge and methods from other environmental and resource relevant sciences (natural sciences & social sciences). This is the only way to develop meaningful solutions to problems of environmental and climate protection, and of the supply of raw materials. The planned bachelor's degree course in "Environmental & Resource Technology" (URT for short) pays these factors their due respect.
