Electrical Engineering & Information Systems Engineering, Master of Science (M.Sc.)

The study programme "Electrical Engineering & Information Systems Engineering" offers a unique mixture of information technology and its applications in engineering, and is thus the perfect programme to cross the border between computer science and electrical engineering. Current engineering tasks are increasingly being shaped by information technology, and the degree programme provides coordinated expertise from both worlds.

The working atmosphere in Bayreuth is very good. Pleasant fellow students and lecturers. There are only a few students here (as of 2024), which is very good for the working atmosphere. Many questions can be answered during the lectures. The technical level is high, but easily achievable if you come from a Bachelor's degree (electrical engineering, mechatronics) in Bayreuth. There is still a lot of calculation, but also programming in some modules (C, C++, Python, Matlab). I would say that the Master's program has brought a clear added value to the Bachelor's program. The course content depends on your choice of specialization. (...) The level is generally manageable. I didn't have any subjects that are designed to screen out students like in the Bachelor's program. However, you still have to put in the appropriate amount of work, you don't get anything for free. (...) The program is recommendable, the university and the city are very pleasant.
