Mathematics, Master of Science (M.Sc.)
As one of the oldest sciences, mathematics has always been both fundamental and application-oriented. Our society urgently needs a sufficient number of mathematically qualified professionals possessing an overview of the potential of mathematics. Today, mathematics is in many cases even considered a key technology.
Smaller, but personal degree program. As I only did my Master's in Bayreuth, I only heard a few lecturers in the lectures. There were usually around five, maximum 15 students in the lectures. The support both in the lectures and outside was great and the lecturers/lecturers were always available. There were a few organizational difficulties at the beginning, as I was new to the university for the Master's degree. However, I was very well supported by the course moderator and my questions were answered easily. The course of study makes sense. There are plenty of opportunities to specialize, considering that the math department in Bayreuth is comparatively smaller.
