Under the title of the conference "Higher Education and Civil Society in Times of Transition in Libya and Beyond", invited guests from Libya, specifically from the University of Tobruk, will meet with the Bayreuth hosts. The discussion panels will include these topics:
- The role of women in science and technology at Libyan universities.
- Higher education and knowledge production in times of conflict
- Academic freedom at universities in Turkey
The international workshop is sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the Federal Foreign Office.
