Research assistant (m/f/d)
in pay group 13 TV-L for a fixed term of at least one year (part-time or full-time) at the earliest possible date.
Your area of responsibility:
- Initiation or completion of a doctoral or postdoctoral reserach project
- Acquisition of own funds to continue the project or to start a follow-up project
- Independent implementation of teaching activities, preferably in the interdisciplinary Master's program “Philosophy & Computer Science”
- Supporting the chair of Philosophy, Computer Science and AI, e.g. in academic administration
We offer you individual supervision of your project with the possibility of joining interdisciplinary collaborations (e.g. in law and computer science). Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in academic and didactic trainings.
Your profile:
- Completed academic university degree (e.g. Master's or Diploma) in philosophy or another subject area relevant to the philosophy of AI (e.g. cognitive science, psychology, computer science, etc.)
- or, for the PostDoc project, a relevant doctorate
In addition, you should have:
- excellent command of written and spoken English; a good command of German is advantageous
- at least basic training in analytical philosophy
- a keen interest in topics where philosophy and computer science overlap
- a sketch of your project or an initial project outline (approx. 2 pages), on the basis of which you want to develop your project or bring it to completion
- the ability to work in a team and willingness to develop collaborative projects
- fun working in interdisciplinary teams and the ability to communicate your specialist knowledge in interdisciplinary groups
- the willingness to make your work internationally visible
Remuneration is in accordance with TV-L.
